We are currently looking for two experienced dynamic and enthusiastic hosting engineers to join our growing hosting department.

It is essential that you are able to work well by yourself and also as part of a team and are able to establish a professional rapport with our clients. A well presented professional with reliable time keeping and attendance, you must also have excellent communication, presentation and practical skills as well as the ability to remain calm in sometimes challenging situations and take ownership of problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve customer hosting enquiries via telephone, email and LiveChat
  • Effectively advise on sales enquiries via telephone, email and LiveChat
  • Handle general administration of existing customer accounts
  • Manage domain and hosting orders and DNS change requests
  • Escalating complex queries when necessary, to ensure efficient problem resolution
  • Ongoing development of the Product Set to ensure they remain competitive

Experience Required
  • Previous experience of providing front-line customer support, ideally in an enterprise-level hosting Company or IT support to users of various levels of technical ability
  • An understanding of Internet technologies (FTP, HTTP, SMTP, POP, IMAP etc.)
  • An understanding of basic DNS principles and Internet operation (TCP/IP, Name Servers, A Name, C Name, MX Records etc.)
  • Moderate ability in at least one scripting language (ASP, ASP.NET, PHP)
  • Good overall knowledge of Windows 2003/Windows 2008 preferably in a hosting environment
  • Experience of supporting and administering IIS or Apache
  • Experience of maintaining MS SQL Server and MySQL databases an advantage
  • Experience of maintaining Internet based applications from a security perspective an advantage
  • Educated to degree level or have a relevant industry qualification or experience

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Witney, Oxfordshire
Hours: 37 per week (9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday)
Salary: £18,000 - £26,000 depending on experience
