| In the beginning…… |
Storm Internet was founded by Salim Benadel, who as a Microsoft trained web developer became disheartened
by the poor standard of hosting packages available on the market. He found that very few companies, if
indeed any, could offer the balance of performance, reliability, affordability and customer support required
to successfully host a website in demanding climate.
And so, determined to buck the trend, Salim bought his own servers and set about creating the perfect hosting plan.
In May 2003, Storm’s debut plan was launched and the company became one of the first in the UK to offer a hosting package powered by the latest Microsoft Windows 2003 operating system. Not only did the plan offer more features than its rivals, it was reliable and at £49.99, retailed at a fraction of the price of Storm’s nearest competitor.
But more than that, Storm’s dedication to providing clients with the best in support resulted in customer retention reaching 95% by 2005. A figure we are proud to maintain to this day.

We know that to achieve this we must ensure our products and customer support remain second to none.
