Cloud computing continues to be one of the most misunderstood phrases used in the UK today, whilst it is widely talked about, the term is somewhat misleading. In a recent survey conducted by Wakefield Research, when asked “what the cloud is,” the majority of respondents said that it is “an actual cloud, the sky, or something related to weather.” And 51% of all respondents even said they believed that “bad weather would interfere with their cloud computing.”
As experts in our industry we are keen to share our knowledge and are always looking at ways to help educate and inform small to medium sized businesses and clear up any confusion surrounding the cloud, as well as enrich our current customers’ experience with us.
In September 2014 we hosted our first “Insights into the cloud” workshop for small businesses in and around the Oxfordshire area. We were so pleased with the attendance at the event and the range of questions we were asked made us realise there is still a lot on confusion about the cloud.
For that reason, we’ve decided to make these events a regular occurrence.
